Most of the folks that I consult with in their quest for the best franchise business opportunity to invest in, are looking at franchising for one reason; There is already a "system" in place. 

However, some of those systems are better than others. Some of the top franchise systems are from these franchisors;

• McDonalds
• Subway
• ServPro
• Great Clips

Of course, there are franchise systems in place that are average, or below average, but I don't want to sling any mud-today.

Staten Island, New York franchise attorney, Charles Interncola, wrote a fine article that discusses franchise systems, and focuses on these critical words; "Proven Franchise System."

Effective and legitimate"systems" are critical for the successful operation of a franchise business. Don't just assume that a franchisor's "systems" are "proven" or "effective." Ask the franchisor's representatives detailed questions about what makes their "systems" unique, effective and profitable, and recognize that the "proven" nature of a start-up franchisor's "systems," in most cases, may be extremely limited.
