Charlie asks, ‘Why aren’t you working for a startup?” You might work for a BIG company if you have ever:
- focused on getting that bonus to pay off your mounting credit card debt, instead of buying that shiny new Porsche you have had your eye on?
- told people where you work and had them ask if you know so and so in some department you have never heard of instead of saying, “Wow, that is a really cool idea!”?
- attended a company event where you had to wear ‘Hello my name is” nametags?
- chastised your friend for bringing up work?
You might work for a startup if you have ever:
- heard your CEO say, “Hey guys, don’t worry about it, if we run low on cash, I’ll take a pay cut and cash out my 401k”?
- heard an idea from someone that gave you an idea and headed back to the office to work on it right then.
- received an email from a user or customer explaining how much they love your product?
- like your job.
- Think about buying that island someday…
Why aren’t you working for a startup? We are looking for smart people to join the Architel/ Big in Japan/ WhiteBox/ ServiceGuy/ SimpleTicket Team. Have a passion for IT? social software? finance? referral networks? productivity software? You might be a fit for our organization! Send me an IM sometime: AIM:alexmuse2 to chat about it.
