Even though my daily existence entirely hovers around the internet technology industry, unlike most of my colleagues, I've never been much of an Apple "fanboy". In fact, I will be the first to admit that I've had several long-winded arguments discussions with damn near anyone friends and family regarding the frequent absurdity performance, price, and merit of Apple products in comparison to the competition. An iPhone ? I'll take the Android please. A Mac ? I'll stick to my PC thank you. Even iTunes was never a welcome addition to my software catalogue. I wouldn't call myself a die-hard Microsoft-ist either, but if there was a scale it would certainly point towards the latter.

Perhaps this has always been a citation on the case of me being a contrarian. Perhaps Apple became such a generic "tech nerd" brand to me in the past few years that it was almost cool to be on the outside of it, looking in judgement curiosity of everyone else in their consumer choices. Perhaps I've always been a numbers and data person; comparing them side-by-side and making my decisions from there. Perhaps I digress ...

However. I would like to say something on the record. This is for all the on-lookers that have ever heard my positioning regarding my personal lack of affections towards the brand and its products:

Even with Steve Jobs now resigned, he is still the greatest businessman, CEO and innovator on the planet, and will likely continue to hold that accolade in my mind until the day I cease to exist. As a human being I wish him the best and as a technology entrepreneur and business-minded individual of this century I stand up and applaud everything that he has achieved.

Quote me.

I hope that clears things up. Thanks for everything you have taught us Steve.
