If your blog is not authentic to who you are, then you may as well stop blogging now.
Using Technorati’s 2008 State of the Blogosphere as a benchmark, over 1 million blog posts are created every day. There has to be some mix of writing in first person or taking a unique point of view for your blog to stand out.
The notion of building a blog and hoping people come is disingenuous. There are too many blogs. You have to be remarkable. You have to be authentic. You have to be yourself. You have to show me that there is a person behind your blog post, or I’m going somewhere else.

But remember: Be authentically you.
