On The Art Of The Ask In Content Marketing

Nice post, Ardath! I generally come down on the side of not gating content because of some statistics I saw from David Meerman Scott on the number of downloads of non-gated vs gated content. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but as I remember, non-gated content got 10-12 times more downloads.

On a slightly different topic, you mention in your first paragraph "great content — takes a lot of time, effort and resources to produce" and I agree, What's your take on supplementing original content with curated content from other sources relevant to your audience? Are your clients supplementing original content with curated content?
