I have used Facebook Pages for businesses as an online presence for a number of start up businesses where they have had no website initially.
Personally I would always advocate having a presence on the web that is your own be that a traditional website or a blog site.
Leaving your web presence to be hosted on real-estate that you can not control and is a third party service I think is always as risk should that service change it's terms and conditions or even cease to exist in the future.
