On How to Find Killer Topics for Blog Posts

Great post. There's too much of the "me too" response posts, the old echo chamber. Coming up with original ideas is much more difficult than just responding to what others have to say.

On Social Networking vs Email

The signs have been there for a while. For me the big neon sign went up when the university where I used to work stopped giving out email accounts to new students unless they absolutely needed one. Pretty much everyone coming in already had established accounts and identities, and the usage of university email was so low it didn't justify the cost of maintenance.

Kids these days. ;)

On 3-Step Social Media Policy

The fear is rational. A policy of "Go for it!" doesn't take into account crisis response or any protection of the brand equity a company has spent years and money to develop. There's much more to a social media policy than this.
