The issue of capital formation for small businesses is one that is becoming more prevalent in today’s economic environment.  On Thursday, the Securities & Exchange Commission will host its annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation in Washington, DC.  I will serve as a co-moderator on the first panel with Karen Kerrigan of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council.  I am looking forward to the overall discussion, as the roundtable includes representatives from banks, government, and the private sector.  These panelists are: David W. Bochnowski, NorthWest Indana Bancorp; Tom W. Burke, Wells Fargo & Company; Daniel M. Covitz, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; Kenneth R. Pelowski, Pinnacle Ventures; Ned Pollack, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; Andrew Sherman, Dickson Shapiro LLP; and Eric Zarnikow, U.S. Small Business Administration.
