Everyone seems to be quoting Rahm Emanuel (or was it Eric Schmidt?) in saying that “a downturn is a terrible thing to waste.”  Certainly SAP has used this economic climate to create a valuable program of content around the issues facing small business in a downturn.   And nothing was wasted to get the best minds anywhere involved in the conversation, including that of Jana Matthews.

Interviewing Dr. Jana Matthews in this separate podcast (she was a featured expert in the webinar “Think Different: Find New Ways to Grow Your Business”) was such fun.   Deeply thoughtful people like Jana are capable of making your particular business issues universal in a very useful way… and with her broad and global experience of entrepreneurship and business,  she helps  you put the current climate in an all-too-needed context.  I especially enjoyed her advice on what not to do in a downturn, which we’ve encapsulated below in these amended slides from the webinar.

If you’re feeling expert yourself, mosey over to the lower post where we’ve listed some of our unanswered questions, and pile on.
