Not that one could call it a pleasure, but I’ve been knee-deep in the effect the current down-turn is having on the economy, thanks to SAP.  The global software company, as evidence of its commitment to small and growing businesses, has been conducting a web-based conversation on “Weathering the Economy,” with leading experts Chad Moutray of the SBA, SME radio host Barbara Weltman, Bill Dunkelberg of the NFIB, and CRM expert Paul Greenberg.  I’ve had the easy part: asking these smart people questions about where we are and where small business is going in this recession.

Fortunately, I’ve also had the opportunity to speak with some key SAP customers, including Scott Weber from The Fruit Company, and most recently, Tim Crane, CEO of CoreMedia.  Tim and I had a chance to talk about his business, which counts many large companies among its customers, and how it is weathering the storm.  Feel free to connect directly with Tim here on MyVenturePad (log in, go to “manage my community”, then “connect with members”) for more questions and insight.

You can listen to the archive of SAP's latest "Weathering the Economy" webinar, which included Tim, here.
