Reuters reports on a survey of small business CEOs and senior executives by Chase Card Services at the annual Inc. 500/5000 event.
The survey found that 4 out 5 are currently pursuing moderate to aggressive growth strategies. They are doing this because most feel the economy is improving.
Other findings include:
- 75% said the economy will be doing better in 3-6 months
- 49% said they were adding staff
- Only 5% said they were cutting staff
These numbers are more positive than other small business surveys are showing. This is likely because the companies that make the Inc. 500 and 5000 lists are successful firms that have done well over the last few years.
But it is still good to see small business executives seeing a light at the end of the recessionary tunnel.
