Bio: Jeff Bocan is a Managing Director of Beringea, LLC, a venture capital firm based in London and Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is responsible for investment sourcing, analysis, deal execution and portfolio management. He has worked in both the U.S. and the UK on a number of Beringea's funds, historically with a focus on technology, media and cleantech. At present, Jeff’s primary focus is on Beringea's InvestMichigan! funds dedicated to companies that are based in, or that set up substantial operations in the state of Michigan – with a particular focus on companies in the cleantech and health care sectors. Jeff serves as a board director for the following Beringea portfolio companies: Sakti3, mophie, ReCellular, Shout! Factory, Relume Technologies, Livio Radio, gloStream and Starbridge Media. Prior to joining Beringea, Jeff was an Associate at early-stage technology VC firm Saffron Hill Ventures in London. He has also worked for the beverage company, Honest Tea; and the Sierra Club, focusing on pollution issues. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (BA), and received an MBA from University of Virginia, Darden Business School.
