Be An Effective Communicator  

When you and your team can’t see each other face to face, the next best thing to do is to communicate with them whenever possible. In order to make sure that you’re all on the same page, you should stay in close contact on a daily basis. 

Without enough communication, trust, and teamwork disappear. It helps to have a regular check-in time every day. You can go over what your objectives are and what your current goals are. Sometimes scheduling a video call is better than an email. Face to face meetups can give a stronger perception of connection than text. 

Create a Routine 

Initially, people working remotely may mistake it for vacation time. However, the more relaxed that you are while working remotely, the more that you’ll suffer for it later. It helps to create a strict schedule with yourself, just as if you were in the office. If you allow yourself too much leeway, you risk falling behind on your assignments. 

Try using a scheduling program that sets reminders throughout the day to keep you on task. Racing the clock is a great motivator for completing everything you need to get done. 

Practice Self Care 

When you’re working from home, particularly under these circumstances of COVID, it’s important that you look out for yourself. Try not to spend too much time in front of a computer and give yourself regular breaks. Some days you may not be as productive as others.
