Today there are dozens of Android apps that allow you to record calls. Some are good, some are ridiculously bad, and it can be hard to pick the right one. So we compiled a small list of the best call recorder apps on the market.
#5 Call Recorder Cube ACR
Call Recorder – Cube ACR has the potential to be one of the best call recorders on the market. It is easy to use, comes with a built-in tutorial (not really needed, but still – it’s nice), has all the features required for such an application (file sharing, auto-recording, contacts management, etc.), and should even record VoIP calls in Skype, Viber, and WhatsApp.
However, while it is still good for an ordinary call recorder app, heavily advertised VoIP recording simply doesn’t work on most smartphones.
#4 Call Recorder ACR
Call Recorder ACR kindly reminds you that recording calls is a sensitive topic – it requires you to confirm that call recording is legal in your jurisdiction. At the same time, it doesn’t need your phone number in order to work, which is pretty nice.
Most features are quite typical: cloud storage for backup, sharing, editing, PIN protection. But there is also an unusual neat feature – you can transcribe recordings.
The main drawback is the overabundance of advertising.
#3 Automatic Call Recorder
Automatic Call Recorder not only will record all your calls after you give the app access to microphone and calls, but also will sort them. There are four categories:
- All calls
- Incoming calls
- Outgoing calls
- Important calls
The last folder keeps conversations with contacts you specify. Other features are bog-standard: sharing, disabling recording for certain numbers, cloud service for backups and so on.
It’s a shame that a pretty good app is overloaded with ads.
#2 All Call Recorder Lite 2020
All Call Recorder Lite 2020 is an extremely easy to use and lightweight application. A simplistic interface will come in handy if you are not a huge app nerd, but just want to get some calls recorded.
Other features are quite standard – automatic sorting of calls by direction and phone number, exclusion of selected numbers, PIN protection and so on.
The main drawback is that the app shows you ads. You can pay to remove them, but it won’t help.
#1 Record Talk
Record Talk is a relatively new application, so its developers were able to learn from the mistakes of others. While most of the app features are similar to that of competitors, it adds security – all recordings are stored on your device, so there is less risk of unauthorized access and there is no limit on storage.
Also, Record Talk doesn’t bother users with ads – it relies on a monthly subscription fee instead. It is a pretty low fee as well, so comfort comes at a bargain. And, finally, there are no broken features in the app.
So, basically, it’s just an easy to use, ad-free app that just works. What else do you need?
